TV Time shut down on July 15, 2026. The company deleted all personal account data after that date, and its self-service data-export tool is no longer available.
If you saved a gdpr-data.zip export before the shutdown, you're in good shape — several apps below read that file directly. If you never exported, you can still rebuild your list by hand.

What happened
On July 1, 2026, TV Time’s support team posted a notice titled "TV Time is Shutting Down." It said the app would run through July 15, 2026, after which all personal TV Time account data would be deleted. The reason given: it was no longer sustainable to run the service as a free app, and there wasn’t enough demand for a paid one.
Press coverage the next day filled in the background. TechCrunch reported that Blue Torch Capital, which acquired TV Time's parent company Whip Media in early 2025, had shifted the business toward an enterprise AI product called Helix — leaving the consumer app without a clear path to revenue. MacRumors covered the same shutdown, noting that Simkl, one of the apps below, saw a surge of sign-ups and some server strain in the days after the announcement.
TV Time was not a small app: TechCrunch put its lifetime installs at 26.4 million, and more than 28,000 people signed a petition asking the company to keep it running. As of this writing (checked September 22, 2026), the app is gone from the US App Store and the old website shows only a farewell message. One notable aftermath: Bingers, a new app from one of TV Time’s co-founders, launched in August 2026 — more on that in the FAQ below.

Do you still have your export?
Before the shutdown, TV Time let you request your data through a self-service tool, or by emailing support with the subject "GDPR Data Request." You'd get back a password-protected gdpr-data.zip, with the password sent in a separate email.
What's inside the zip
tracking-prod-records-v2.csv— Your episode history — every episode you marked watched or rewatched, with the show name and date.tracking-prod-records.csv— Your watched movies, matched by title and year (not an ID).followed_tv_show.csv— The shows you were following or tracking.
The zip can also include rating and list files (for example tv_show_rate.csv, lists-prod-lists.csv), though sources disagree on whether numeric ratings were always included — treat any you find as a bonus, not a guarantee.
Never got an export?
A new one isn't possible: as of September 22, 2026 the self-service export tool has no working address, and the support page no longer takes new requests. It's unclear whether emailing support still gets a reply. From here, your options are to rebuild your list from memory or let a new app's own search match what it can.
Before you upload anything
The zip also contains personal files — names starting with user, plus logins, IPs, and device or session data. Don't upload those anywhere beyond the one app you're actually importing into.
Also watch out for imitators: as of September 22, 2026, apps like "TV Time: Show & Movie Tracker" (by Pierre TROMP) and "TV Time: Track Shows & Drama" are on the App Store using the TV Time name — they have no connection to the original service.
How to choose
Every app below covers something TV Time did — just not the same combination. Before you pick one, answer a few questions:

Iseenit is built for people who track whole movies, series and books in one library — not for people counting episodes. A series sits in one of three states: want to watch, watching, or watched. There’s no episode grid and no season-by-season progress bar.
That's a real trade-off: if per-episode tracking matters to you, or you're on Android, or you specifically need to upload the TV Time zip, pick one of the apps above instead — several of them do all three.
If what you want is one honest home for movies, shows and books, with family sharing and no per-episode bookkeeping, Iseenit is worth trying.

Moving your list to Iseenit

FAQ
Can I still export my TV Time data?
No. As of September 22, 2026, the self-service export tool has no working address, and the support page no longer processes new requests. If you saved a gdpr-data.zip before July 15, 2026, that file is your only copy.
Is TV Time coming back?
Not as the same service. TechCrunch reported that one of TV Time’s co-founders launched a new app called Bingers in August 2026, and it can import the TV Time export file — a new product from someone who built the original, not TV Time itself coming back online.
Which apps import the TV Time export file?
Bingers, Trakt, Simkl, Serializd and Moviebase all read the zip directly; Hobi and Banco de Séries have their own importers; Sofa Time reads a JSON export from a separate browser extension instead. Iseenit doesn’t read the file — you paste your list as text instead.
Does Iseenit track individual episodes?
